Please post your thoughts and comments about Professor Margaret Woo's first year Civil Procedure course.

Professor Woo is probably one of the nicest professors you will meet at NU. However, I did find her teaching style to be a little disorganized. She tends to speak very fast and often rushed through material/cases so that we could finish everything on the syllabus. It wasn't until the end of the course when I was studying that I really understood the big picture and then everything suddenly made sense. Although I did find it helpful that she kept referring back to "Buffalo Creek" throughout the semester, so we could see how the civ pro rules apply to real life. Note: She coughs alot in class because she is allergic to chalk dust.

I thought Prof. Woo was a riot! She tried to make a very dry and technical class fun for us. I liked the fact that she pretty much stuck to the syllabus, rather than telling us the reading assignments 'on the fly" like some other profs do. She does not always explain things in the clearest way, that's probably my biggest complaint. (Subrin is supposed to be better as far as clarity, but I'll bet he's no fun in class.) Everyone says that the nature of Civ Pro is that you don't start understanding it until two months in, so it may be unfair to blame it on the prof. She's really nice!
