Nice professor, interesting class. The workload isn't bad (especially once you get to Criminal Procedure) and the class discussions were always very interesting.


I thought this was one of the more interesting classes during 1st year, and I think Givelber in general (he taught some makeups in Evidence this year as well) is a really good professor. If I personally could do one thing different to prepare for it that would be focusing on memorizing the Criminal Procedure aspects (once you start that half) earlier on (we couldn't use an outline on the exam, just the MPC which won't help you on the procedural question). I knew concepts in general but it probably would have given me more time on the exam if I would have just know the names of cases to put down referencing a specific point of law (besides Miranda, which everyone probably knows in college let alone law school!). His hypos drove me insane but I loved how that class made me think.
