The point is not, “If you’re not doing anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about.” If people in the government can spy on our personal activities, freedom slides down the slippery slope toward conformity and compliance. As Amy Poehler reported on SNL last night, (to paraphrase…) When confronted with the notion that Google could be forced to reveal our net-surfing habits, the entire population of the country expressed a unaniomous (exhaling broadly…), “Ohhhhhhhh Boy…..!”
