The Alpaca

In case you were wondering, this is the alpaca I was standing by while troubleshooting the RAID issue. (click for the full-sized image).

The alpaca did not have any ideas why the hard drives were failing, although it did suggest that perhaps I check to see if the the drives were too hot with the S.M.A.R.T. tools.

Update: my sources tell me this is a llama; I’ve fixed the image name accordingly for the benefit of Google images.

Those fuzzy guys are showing up everywhere! Hard to tell if it is really an alpaca or not. Can’t see the ears.

That looks more like a llama than an alpaca

You can tell in the photo that it is a llama. Look at the muzzle, alpaca muzzles are shorter and not as sloped. Kind of like a Chihuahua. And the face is rounder. Also, when you were stading next to it, was it’s back more than 3 feet high and it’s head as tall or taller than you. If so, it’s a llama. Alpaca are short and compact.
